Removal of dead tissues and foreign bodies, called debridement, is the first operation to be performed and must be performed under sterile conditions. After debridement, this area should be washed with abundant serum physiology until no dead tissue remains. If the wound can be closed by stitching it should be closed. The broken plaster in the bone should then be identified with the help of traction or implants, both internally and externally. Broad spectrum antibiotics should be used in open fractures with a high risk of infection.<\/p>\n The duration of administration of the antibiotic is related to the status of the open fracture. In the open fractures, fatal tables such as general infection, tetanus, gas gangrene can be encountered early on. In such cases, removal of that area from the body called amputation is a saving operation.
